What we process

When you paste a public Instagram or TikTok link, our server downloads the audio, converts it to text, and deletes the audio straight away. Files you upload are deleted as soon as they are transcribed. We never ask for, and never store, your social media login.

What we keep

The transcript of a public video is cached for up to 30 days so the next person gets it instantly. Uploaded files are never cached. For rate limiting we keep a one-way hash of your IP address and a daily counter for a few days; the raw IP address is not stored.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which features are used (for example how many transcripts are made, copied or downloaded). It sets cookies and Google processes the data. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland nothing is measured until you choose Accept in the banner. To change your choice, clear this site's cookies and the banner comes back. We don't use advertising cookies.

Takedowns

If you made a video and want its cached transcript removed, email [email protected] with the video link and it will be deleted.

Not affiliated

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta or TikTok. Only publicly viewable videos can be processed. Respect the creators' rights when you use their words.
